Dragon Bait Stew was founded in the heart of New Orleans. Co-Owner Drake Stewart started at a very young age apprenticing in his Godfather Mike Stark's shop. Mike Stark was a famed mask and costume maker, designer and owner of The Little Shop of Fantasy in the French Quarter in downtown New Orleans, Louisiana. There Drake learned to sculpt leather and create his own one of a kind works of art.
Drake has since grown into an accomplished leather sculptor and has moved into sculpting full time creating Custom Motorcycle Bags and Fantasy and Steampunk costuming creations. Co-Owner Briana Stewart, Drake's wife, contributes by decorating, painting and co-designing the final touches on all the products. Drake and Briana use there strength's as artists in a beautiful compilation of art, madness and love. Collectively Drake and Briana have been creating beautiful works of art for 15 plus years. These custom works of art consist of hand sculpted leather items that stand up to every day use. Our Costume pieces are made to party in and hang on the wall and admire later.
Our product line includes: Custom Leather Motorcycle bags, Leather Hats in Tall and Mini Top, Fedora, Musketeer and Pirate, Leather Steampunk Goggles, Fantasy Leather Masks and Leather Blinds, Belts,
Mini Bags, Clothing and Armor to include... cuffs, bracers, shoulders, front and back chest plate, cod piece, cuisses (upper leg guards), and lower leg greaves.
***Tooling requests: Tooling is done on each leather piece at the artists discretion. If specific tooling is requested an additional fee will be charged and additional time will need to be added for completion of the project.***
We do custom orders to your specification. This includes our costume pieces or you can order from our existing one of a kind works of art.
